We understand that sometimes things come up that make it no longer possible for you to attend class with us. But we ask that you also understand that late cancellations mean we are unlikely to be able to fill the space in the class, but have already made arrangements for staff and materials. *This is a NEW policy, going into effect November 18, 2025* You have two options for cancellation: 1. Receive a Credit (Amount paid - a 10% cancellation fee) up to 48 hours prior to the start of class. 2. Receive a Refund (Amount paid - a 10% cancellation fee) up to 4 weeks prior to the start of class. You are also always welcome to sell your spot to someone else, we just ask that you let us know in advance who will be taking your spot. No credits or refunds will be given after a class starts. No refunds will be given less than 4 weeks prior to the start of class. No credits will be given less than 48 hours prior to the start of class. Credit with us does not expire and will be automatically applied to your next registration with us. Credit Is valid for any future child or adult class, workshop, or camp. Please note that we only offer full (100%) refunds for a class if WE cancel the class. We are also unable to offer refunds or credits for days or classes missed for any reason.

Unless a class is listed as being the second in a series, or marked as being designed for artists of a more advanced level, the answer is no! We are excited to build community through shared arts experiences, and welcome artists of ALL ages and experience levels to join us!

Yes. All materials are included in the cost of the class. You are of course always welcome to bring your own as well, if there are specific materials you'd like to use during the class.

We fundamentally believe that people of all ages deserve access to high quality arts programming. If you or your child would like to attend one of our classes but cannot for financial reasons, please contact us at info@theartannexbrooklyn.com. We also offer a refer-a-friend credit! For every friend you refer to The Art Annex who registers for a class, we'll add a $20 credit to your account as a thank you. Just make sure your friend writes your name in the "how did you hear about us" section when they register. There is no limit to the number of friend credit you can earn, and credit with us does not expire.

The minimum age for our adult classes is 16, unless otherwise listed.
