Spend a few hours with friends or make new ones as you learn a new art form, craft or skill in this welcoming format for people of all skill levels.

These classes are designed for people looking to dive a little deeper, spending 4 or 6 consecutive weeks in one specific medium.

Holiday Printmaking Workshop

With Emilia

Ages: Adults (Ages 16+)

Class Time: 2:00 - 4:00 pm

Date: Saturday 12/13/2025 

Spend an afternoon diving into the fun of printmaking while making your own original gift tags and cards for the holidays!

In this workshop we will be carving into rubber blocks to create our own beautiful motifs as well as stamping and layering using existing blocks. Students will learn how to create simple prints while exploring the use of color, composition and repeated patterns.

All levels welcome. All materials included.

In this 6 session class we will explore the exciting intersection of collage and printmaking! Our primary focus will be on learning various collage techniques and creating unique compositions using hand painted papers and other unique materials. We will also spend some time making prints with rubber blocks to incorporate into our collage work.

All levels welcome!

Students who have taken this class before are welcome to join, as material will be tailored to class participants, whether just beginning or building on existing skills.

Join us as we explore a variety of printmaking techniques in this 6 session class! Printmaking will invite you to layer, arrange and experiment with color and composition. We will use a variety of papers as our printing surface as we explore gelli plate printing, collographs, and monoprints. We will also use stencils, and carve stamps to create beautiful prints. All levels welcome!

late fall Drawing Prompts + Practice

Class Time: 10:15am - 11:45am

Dates: Wednesdays 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 12/3, 12/10, 12/17*

Join us to build a drawing practice. In this 6 week class we will work with prompts and suggestions, and will have space to take them in our own directions. Each week we will investigate some different reasons and ways to draw, and will come to see drawing as a tool with so many incredible functions. We can draw to record our lives, to collaborate with others, to see what images live in our visual memories. We can draw to slow down and observe, to practice quickness and recklessness, to notice change over time, and to chill out. We will learn some observational drawing skills and will prioritize drawing as an experiential process. This class is for people of any experience level who are excited to draw.

In this 6 week class you will be painting from still-life objects. You will learn how to simplify and prioritize details, identify contrast, mix desired colors, and experiment with the composition of an image. Using arranged scenes and objects as the base for all projects, you will also explore ways to find inspiration in the scenes you paint, and how to keep building on what excites you. You will have opportunities to choose what you paint, and share in the process with the whole class.

 

All levels welcome - this class is great for those who are just beginning and those who wish to keep building on what they know! All materials provided.

Explore the still-life while working with gouache in this 4 week class!
Gouache is an opaque watercolor medium that allows you to work from dark
to light, which makes it a perfect addition to your acrylic or oil painting
experience. Working from still-life objects, we will explore the basic
techniques of this versatile medium. Our focus will be on the creative
process, while also paying attention to value, color and composition to
produce a series of paintings on paper.

Beginner to experienced drawers are invited to join as we practice observing through tone, mark making and composition, and bring the model to life through gesture. We will mostly be working in charcoal, and all materials will be provided, but students are also welcome to bring their own additional drawing supplies. ​Students who have taken this class before are welcome to join, as material will be tailored to class participants, whether just beginning or building on existing skills.​

Come experience the delight of watercolor painting combined with drawing fundamentals to help you create your own beautiful works of art! This 6 session class has something for everyone, whether you’re a beginner eager to learn or an experienced artist ready to build on your existing skills.


In the first three sessions, we’ll focus on essential drawing techniques: creating volume through shading, using negative space to define forms, and developing keen observation through contour drawing. These skills will form a strong foundation for your watercolor work.

During the final three sessions, we’ll explore the expressive possibilities of watercolor. Beginners will discover what the medium can really do, while returning students will deepen their skills through new techniques each week. We’ll work from simple still life arrangements, giving you the chance to experiment and apply what you’ve learned in vibrant, personal ways.

This class is designed for both new and returning students.

Each week we will investigate some different reasons and ways to draw, and will come to see drawing as a tool with so many incredible functions. We can draw to record our lives, to collaborate with others, to see what images live in our visual memories. We can draw to slow down and observe, to practice quickness and recklessness, to notice change over time, and to chill out. We will explore pencil, charcoal, oil pastel and sumi ink in this 6 week class.

 

This class is for people of any experience level who are excited to draw.

Designed for returning students, this NEW 6 week course offers the opportunity to deepen your mixed media and collage practice through continued experimentation and creative growth. Our primary focus will be on various collage techniques and creating compelling compositions using hand painted papers and other unique materials. We will also spend some time making prints with rubber blocks to incorporate into our collage work.

This class is designed for students who have taken at least one collage class with us before (at any point), or who have introductory level experience with printmaking and/or collage. Material will be tailored to class participants as they build on existing skills.
